6. Creating a new Account at PayPal.

For those users who do not have an existing PayPal account, you will need to create a new Account. If you do not want to use a PayPal account you can make your payment by using the Cheque-Money Order option from the Secure Payment Page.

Registration for PayPal is free, PayPal is a service dedicated to transferring funds between PayPal account holders. It has strong security measures in place to ensure that you are in control of how your payments are made, that makes you the initiater of the payment. A subscription can be cancelled at any time by using the account tools provided by PayPal, be aware that once you create a subscription it is active until you cancel it at your PayPal account.

Complete the registration form at PayPal by filling in all required fields. The form will automatically change itself based on the country and credit card type you select in order to display fields specific to those options.

Click the Continue button to complete the registration. Once the registration is complete you will have the option to Confirm Your Payment. You can change the credit card you want to use by choosing the "More Funding Options" link on the Order Page, you can Cancel the transaction by using the "Cancel" button, or you can complete the Payment by using the "Pay" button.

It is also possible to go through the registration process at PayPal prior to making a payment at Australink. Visit the PayPal website for more details about its service and for more information on creating and using a PayPal account.


PayPal receives order information from Australink's Secure Server, processes the transaction and redirects the user back to Australink's website.

7. Making a Payment with an Existing Account at PayPal.

In order to make a payment with an existing account at PayPal, all you need to do is to login at the Payment Details page on PayPal. The order summary will be displayed at the top of the page. Then once you have decided which credit card to make the payment from, use the Pay button to complete the Payment.

At the end of the PayPal payment process, PayPal will provide a button linking back to the Australink secure server. All confirmation of Payment takes place via Email, the return page at Australink does not immediately return you to your account, you wil need to return to the Australink website and enter the members area to check that your account has been updated. In most cases successful transactions are updated immediately after the transaction is successful unless there are delays from PayPals confirmation of Payment.

In both cases, once a payment is completed you will receive an email from Australink and PayPal confirming that the Payment has been made.
